PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST AND NIGERIA, JUNE 21-27, 2020

 THANKSGIVING

1.      Psa_124:2  “If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us…” Let us thank God for preserving our lives, families, the Church and Nigeria; thank Him for having brought us this far in the year, frustrating and not allowing the plans of the enemies of the Church and our nation to materialize.

2.      Joel 3.9: “…wake up the mighty men…”  Let us also thank God that more and more of His mighty men in the nation are waking up to begin to pursue His purposes for our nation.

3. Thank God for all else you can think of, regarding yourself and family, the Church, and the nation. Particularly, also thank God for curbing conflict and averting all-out war

REPENTANCE

2 Chron 7.14: Let us humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways; repent of all known sins as well as those you can’t remember

 PRAYERS FOR THE CHURCH (THE BODY OF CHRIST)

• Php_2:13  “For it is God which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure” Almighty God, please work heavily in me and on all of Your children in Nigeria to will and do as would be pleasing to You
• John_15:5  “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abides in Me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing” Lord Jesus help us to abide in You, and You in us, and be fruitful unto You. If you do not help us, we are hopeless
• Sam_70:5  “I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying” Eternal Jehovah, loving and merciful Father, for Your name’s sake and considering the blood of Jesus Christ shed for me, my family, and for Your Church in Nigeria, please hasten to help us
• Psa_19:12  “Who can understand his errors? Cleanse Thou me from secret faults” O Lord, our merciful God, please keep the leaders of the Church from errors and presumptuous sins. Where they err, please help their flock not to blindly derail with them but to pray, wisely engage, and bring them back. P-L-E-A-S-E, pray well.
• 2Ti_2:19  “Nevertheless the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his. And, Let everyone that names the name of Christ depart from iniquity” O Lord, help me and help the Church in Nigeria to correct every shaky foundation; help us to depart from iniquity and so stand sure.

PRAYER FOR THE NATION

• Psa 94:20  “Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with Thee, which frames mischief by a law?” Almighty God, please touch all those sitting on thrones that have become thrones of iniquity at community, LGA, state, Federal levels, in corporations as well as other nations. If they would not repent and relent, unseat them and restore righteousness, O Lord
• Psa 94:21-23 “They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood. But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge. And He shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off” Lord, in Your great mercy, defend the unarmed persons being slain daily across Nigeria; judge and end this great wickedness
• Psa 83:1-4  “Keep not thou silence, O God: hold not Thy peace, and be not still, O God. For, lo, Thine enemies make a tumult: and they that hate Thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against Thy people, and consulted against Thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel [the Church in Nigeria] may be no more in remembrance” Lord, we have sinned and strayed and erred. But please, let us fall into Your hands and not the hands of our enemies and Your enemies. Keep not silent, hold not Thy peace anymore. Lord, please, step in. Intervene.
• Psa 83:9-11,16  “Do unto them as unto the Midianites; as to Sisera, as to Jabin....Who perished at Endor: they became as dung for the earth. Make their nobles like Oreb, and like Zeeb: yea, all their princes as Zebah, and as Zalmunna:....; as the stubble before the wind...Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Thy name.” O Lord God of air, land and sea. You made even the stars fight against Sisera. Let all creation work for the good of Your children and Your Church and against Your enemies. Let the enemies of God and of the gospel in and outside Nigeria be so perplexed and embarrassed at Your deliverance that they submit to You
• Pro_14:34  “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”. Lord, please help Nigerians to obey You, let righteousness flood this nation, and let the reproaches give way to glory

OTHER PRAYERS

• 1Co_3:19  “For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God….He takes the wise in their own craftiness.” Please Lord, all Islamists, Jihadists, modern imperialists, New Age Movements,  and the likes, scheming to perpetrate evil against Nigeria and the Church worldwide, take them in their craftiness. Frustrate their agenda, confuse their language, let their evil schemes crumble in the Name of Jesus Christ.
• That God would amplify the voices rising against the Kajuru killings and other cases of genocide until they trigger an end of killings like God used the voice of William Wilberforce and others to stop slave trade.
• “When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were as them that dream” – Merciful God, in a way that only You can do, cause Leah Sharibu and all other captives and IDPs to be released and returned. Let it be like a dream and let Your children be filled with laughter and singing again
• “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy” – Matt 5.7. Lord, be merciful unto all medics treating COVID-19 cases. Please keep them from infection and death.
• Eph_2:10  “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God had before ordained that we should walk in them.” Lord, please enable me accomplish the good works You had ordained for me to do; help me fulfill purpose; and so use me to advance Your Kingdom and change Nigeria.
• Pray any other prayers as you are led, including expansions and extensions of above prayer points.
• Also prophesy God’s word; & proclaim Psalm 46 & Jer 33 over your life, family, the Church and Nigeria.
