RELIEF DISTRIBUTION TO CHRISTIAN IDPs AT MADAMAI CAMP, SOUTHERN KADUNA

Lay Faithful Trust Foundation continues with its program of providing relief for persecuted Christians in Nigeria with distribution of food and cash to the affected brethren at Madamai IDP Camp in Mallagum, Southern Kaduna.

Madamai IDP camp has a total of 1,632 persons. This figure includes 48 widows. Due to security concerns, the brethren avoid staying regularly on the camp, but they gather from the surrounding environment whenever the need arises.

In the current exercise, the following relief items were distributed:

▪️Rice
▪️Beans
▪️Cash to 48 widows on the camp

We thank all the brethren who donated to make this relief distribution possible. God bless you all and replenish your purse.

As we continue in this burden of love, we need to appeal that more Christians are required to carry this burden. If we are to meaningfully respond to the needs of our brethren who are persecuted for bearing the name of Christ, we need at least one million Christians willing to contribute N500 monthly. This provision will enable us to commence the process of resettlement of the affected brethren.

Nigerian Christians need to understand three salient facts:

1. What happened to the persecuted brethren could happen to ANY Christian in Nigeria irrespective of where he is located.
2. If we do not rally round the affected brethren and succour them, the enemy will be emboldened to strike more Christians and ultimately, no Christian will be safe.
3. By helping the persecuted Christians, we are helping ourselves.

We are grateful to the brethren who have responded. We request that they join us in reaching their Christian contacts so that more Christians can contribute. The body of Christ is one.
