FOCUS : SOARING IN PERSONAL & NATIONAL DESTINY IN NIGERIA’S 61ST YEAR IN INDEPENDENCE - Part 3
Isa 61:4 “And they shall build the old wastes,…raise up the former desolations,…repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.”
- The light of God brings new life: righteousness, peace and development. Pray that Nigeria and the Church in it will not be an exception where massive rise of the Christian faith is going on alongside rise in insecurity; in corruption; in socio-economic decline and the like. Pray for Spirit-led builders, repairers, raisers.
- Nigeria has been mocked: that others are working and developing, we are praying and declining. Pray for God’s help us to believers to “build old wastes raise up desolations, repair waste cities” and take away mockery of the gospel.
- Mighty God, Nigeria has far more Christians than Muslims despite the census manipulations. Largely Hindu, Buddhist, Muslim etc nations are advancing and have peace and stability. Cry unto God to help us get things right to His glory.
Isa 61:6 “But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles.”
- Joseph and Daniel without Churches, TV-Preachers etc manifested such wisdom of God that foreign kings voluntarily handed over their nations to them. Should we be struggling just for even a subordinate foothold? Cry unto God that effective ministers and priests for the political and economic arena shall arise and the difference be so clear that the unbelievers will submit to God and to the “priests of the Lord…Ministers of our God”. Pray that you shall be one such
Isa 61:7 “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion:… everlasting joy shall be unto them.”
- Cry to the Lord to end the era of shame and usher in the era of double honour in your life, family, the Church and Nigeria. Prophesy and call forth the new era
- Command every source and cause of shame to disappear; bind and cast out the evil spirits behind them; call forth God’s plan for you, your family, the Church and Nigeria. His plan is DOUBLE HONOUR and EVERLASTING JOY
Isa 61:11 “For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.”
- Unfailing God, You have promised that “the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations”. We have tried and not succeeded for 61 years now. Please, Lord, You by Your power “cause righteousness and praise to spring forth” in my life, family, Your Church, Nigeria.
OTHERS
- Please pray that the Herdsmen crises will not degenerate into mayhem or war, let killings end
- Pray for the release of Leah Sharibu and others unjustly held captive by Boko Haram; bandits
- Please pray that various agitations for self-determination will only lead to God’s will and glory
- Pray for fresh grace, focus and fire in the Church to evangelize and win herdsmen, kidnappers, cultists and other unbelievers to Jesus Christ
