PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA, May 23-29, 2021
THANKSGIVING: Please thank the Lord yet more for His manifestly mighty mercy upon Nigeria and Nigerians, especially the Church.
REPENTANCE: Confess all of your sins and take a firm stand to forsake them, so you can bring meat worthy of repentance. Identify with and repent over the sins of the nation too – bloodshed, immorality, idolatry, corruption etc – and pray that believers and Nigerians at large will truly return to God.
PRAYER POINTS
- O God! You said in Your Word, 1Timothy 2:1-4 that ‘…first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks, be made for all men; v2 For kings and all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty v3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour v4 Who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth …..’ Therefore, we come to You O God and pray,Give us leaders in our churches in Nigeria, that it will be to Your glory to intervene in the affairs of our nation at this point in time, to end bloodshed, economic hardship and birth the righteous and prosperous new Nigeria, that is in Your heart for us, in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
- O God! Eph. 1:23 says Christ is the Head of the Church, which comprise of the members and the ministers of the Church. Therefore we call on You, our Lord Jesus Christ as the Head, TO SIT AS A REFINER AND PURIFIER OF SILVER: AND PURIFY THE SONS OF LEVI I.E. THE LEADERSHIP / MINISTERS OF THE DIFFERENT DENOMINATIONS OF THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA AND PURGE THEM AS GOLD AND SILVER. We ask You Lord, to continue to do this, till they all do nothing other than offer unto You LORD an offering in righteousness, as Mal. 3:4 says. Let they and all the works of their hands be in line with the righteousness of God, in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
- In Galatians 1:6-10, the scriptures made it known that perversion of the gospel by anybody, even an angel, will bring disastrous consequences on the perpetrator. O God let all church leaders who have been preaching ANOTHER GOSPEL OF BEING BORN AGAIN WITHOUT REPENTANCE, would realize this error and change henceforth, otherwise YOU bring YOUR judgment on them NOW without further delay; in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
- In the Name of Jesus Christ, as it is written in Haggai 2:22a, I prophesy and declare on you thrones and kingdoms of the Jaazaniahs and Pelatiahs in my territory - Nigeria, (name them), the Lord over throws your thrones and destroys the strength of your kingdoms, completely and irreversibly. Amen!
- In the Name of Jesus Christ, as it is written in Eze.11:7-10, I prophesy against you Jaazaniahs and Pelatiahs in Nigeria, (name them), that devise mischief and give wicked counsel in Nigeria, the Lord bring you out of the midst of Nigeria and bring a sword upon you, deliver you into the hands of strangers and execute judgments among you. The Lord cause you to fall by the sword, judge you in the border of Nigeria and cause you to know that He is the Lord; in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen!
- O Lord God! As you did at the tower of Babel, confound the language of the sons of the bondwoman that have gathered together and purposed to overrun your people in my territory, in Nigeria, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen! Divide their tongue and make it impossible for them to execute their plans, in the name of Jesus Christ! Amen!
- Pray that God in His mercy will intervene, fight and release all abducted Nigerians still being held
- Christian Association of Nig (CAN) has called for prayers of mourning, repentance, soberness for all the bloodshed and sins of the land from May 28-30 (coming Friday to Sunday). Pray that there be widespread participation; and there will indeed be deep and genuine repentance across the land, among both leaders and the led. Also, as many mark Pentecost Day on Sunday May 23, let them have true fresh encounter.
- Pray for God to strengthen Israel against all its enemies, and that the war with its neighbours will be resolved in a manner that advances God’s kingdom and will, and fosters greater peace
