In June 1995, God spoke to four intercessors about the need for National Repentance and Reconciliation for the healing of Nigeria. Those four were: Barr Emeka Nwakpa, Rev Dr Moses Aransiola, Pst. Austin Ukachi, and Rev. E. Osakwe. That call led to the "REPENTANCE, RECONCILIATION, AND PRAYERS FOR THE NATION" initiative on Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October, 1995. It was a nationwide call to prayers.

One of the central Bible passages that bore God's voice to those four intercessors was Isaiah 32:9-15. Verses 9, 10, and 11 spoke directly to women. It said in v.10, "many days and years shall ye be troubled …"

In June 2025, exactly 30 years after the call in June 1995, there has come another stirring in the Spirit to call the women to raise “lamentations” for the land, according to verse 12 of that same Bible passage. The objective of this lamentation by the women is that "the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest" (v.15).

The National Prayer Altar, impelled by the Lord, hereby invites women intercessors to a 3-day lamentation for Nigeria, scheduled as follows:
