THANKSGIVING & WORSHIP: Luk 1:68,78 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel….for He hath visited and redeemed His people, … Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the Dayspring from on high hath visited us” IT IS A NEW DAWN, Nigeria. And what a loving God we have: He has kept us another whole year…as a loving Shepherd, leading us in the way of peace. The coming of Jesus Christ which the world celebrates as Christmas has paved way for all these mercies and blessings. Give God thanks, for sending Jesus Christ and paving way for us to be partakers of the blessings of Abraham. Also praise God for all He has done for you, your family, the Church and Nigeria through 2022….& for yet greater things He is set to do in 2023.
REPENTANCE: Ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, your family’s, the Church and Nigeria; pray for grace to turn and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14).

PRAYER POINTS
- A GREAT NEW DAWN: Isa 9:2“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light”; and Mat_6:23“But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” Give God praise again that what God has given us is not a dim or flickering light but a great light; the greatest light. Then pray that Nigeria will enter an unmistakable great new dawn by reason of the Great Light
- LIGHT FOR ALL & UPON ALL: Joh_1:9“That was the true Light, which lights every man that cometh into the world” Pray that God will cause His light to so shine through His children individually and the Church as a whole, that “every man” in Nigeria shall be impacted, unbelievers converted massively, and believers strengthened greatly
- LIGHT & CLEAR SIGHT: Joh_8:12“I am the light of the world: he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” Pray that God will give believers in Nigeria the grace to truly follow Him; that each believer and the Body of Christ shall not walk in darkness anymore but have the light of life….in ALL spheres of life, not only in matters of faith
- GRACE AND GLORY: Psa_84:11“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly” Pray that just as the sun in the sky makes plants on earth lush green and fruitful, by reason of the Great Light that has come to us in Nigeria, you, your family, the Church and Nigeria will enter henceforth into unprecedented grace and glory.
- UNPRECEDENTED GROWTH: Psa_84:11“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: …no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly” Pray that the Great Light will supply you, your family, the Church and Nigeria every good thing that makes for the best life on earth, and unleash unprecedented growth and progress triggered by revelations, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, favour etc
- COMPELLING ATTRACTIVENESS: Isa 60:3“And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising” Pray that by reason of the Great Light, you, your family, the Church and Nigeria shall radiate compelling attractiveness to unbelievers near and far that they learn righteousness.
- GOOD WORKS: Mat_5:16“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” and Eph_5:11“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them” Pray that the practical manifestation of the Great Light in this New Dawn of Nigeria shall be an abundance of good works and a shunning of old deeds of darkness among individuals, families, businesses, governments and even the Church
- LET THERE BE LIGHT: Prophesy that gloom shall no longer remain upon Nigeria; let there be light; let darkness and the shadow of death (breakup, war etc) be swallowed up by the Great Light of God in Christ
- Pray other prayers for current national issues as your have observed or are burdened to pray. Pray also for the ongoing political transition process that there be no hijack, and the next leader shall be of God.
- SPECIAL PRAYER: (a) Lord have mercy on Leah Sharibu and all others abducted and still in the hands of their captors. Stretch forth Your hand and set free. (b) Defend Your children from Jihad in S/Kaduna, Jos and other Christian territories (c.) Have mercy on IDPs and enable them return to their homes.
