THANKSGIVING & WORSHIP: Psm 124:6 “Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth” Ah, truly if it had not been the Lord Who has been on our side, we would have been minced meat; Nigeria’s story would have been totally different today; probably history! O, let’s bless the Lord. It’s a new season for Nigeria and Nigerians – including you and I, and our families. Raise a glad sound in faith. Join the heavenly throng in faith to raise a glad sound over Nigeria and the Body of Christ. Praise God for all He has done for you, your family, the Church and Nigeria through 2022….& for greater things He is set to do NOW !
REPENTANCE: Truly repent and ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, your family’s, the Church and Nigeria, and for the contributions of Christians to the woes of believers and of Nigeria by ignoring prophetic warnings. Pray for grace to turn and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14)
FOCUS: Opening and possessing the Gates of the City and the nation; Taking Spoils
PRAYER POINTS
- Act 12:5“Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him” It is extremely dangerous for a pregnant entity to get tired and not push enough at the moment of birthing. Pray for mighty grace upon believers in Nigeria to push enough for full and whole birthing of the new Nigeria
- Act 12:7“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise, up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands” Pray that God will release angelic visitation upon Nigeria, shine His blazing light, shatter all prison doors, release His chosen leaders unto their place and and Nigeria unto her divine destiny
- Mat_12:29“…how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man?” Take authority over Satan’s territorial demons in Nigeria; over every spiritual and physical strong man of Nigeria, Abuja and Nigeria’s state capitals. Plead and cover Nigeria, Abuja etc with the blood of Jesus Christ and overpower them; command the altars that service them to be utterly broken and their priests disrobed. Decree that every strong man should give way. Ask God to send His angels to take over, that God’s children may take spoils i.e. the Presidency, the Governors seats, and other important political positions; so the righteous may rule and the people rejoice
- Exo 3:7“And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of My people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows” & Rom_9:16“So then it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy” Cry unto the Lord that He knows our sorrows, our afflictions, the oppression of our taskmasters – the corrupt extractors, evil Jihadists, those who buy votes then use their offices to recover with profit and leave Nigeria fainting. Ask the Lord to show mercy and grant us an effective, God-fearing and patriotic President and other leaders.
- Hag 2:5-9“According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt...thus saith the LORD of hosts; Yet once...I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land...and I will fill this house with glory, saith the LORD of hosts....and in this place will I give peace, saith the LORD of hosts” O Lord shake all shakeable, necessary to fill Nigerians and the world with reverence for God and to fill Your Church with peace and glory.
- Act 12:22-24“And the people gave a shout, saying, It is the voice of a god, and not of a man. And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and...the word grew and multiplied” Pray that like Haman and Herod, every enemy of the Church and obstacle to Nigeria’s progress will make disastrous error(s) leading to their irreversible downfall to make way for progress for Nigeria and allow the gospel to grow and multiply
- Plead and cover INEC, the Security Agencies, the Presidency, the contestants with the blood of Jesus Christ; pray that all evil altars and demonic powers targeted to influence them will be voided; the forthcoming elections will not be aborted, will be non-violent, will produce God’s counsel.
- Hold your tummy, or place your hand upon the soil (real earth) and prophesy: the Nigeria where nations will come and learn righteousness as foretold by Pa S G Elton come forth; that which will be one of the most secure and peaceful nations as foretold by Dr Cindy Jacobs come forth; etc [name and address others]. Prophesy: we take over State House; Jesus Christ shall reign; Nigeria arise, shine NOW
- Pray other prayers for current national issues as you have observed or are burdened to pray. Pray also for the ongoing political transition process that there be no hijack, and the next leader shall be of God.
- SPECIAL PRAYER: Pro_29:2“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” (a) Lord have mercy on Leah Sharibu and all others abducted and still in the hands of their captors. Please raise political leaders that will set them free. (b) Defend Your children from Jihad in S/Kaduna, Jos and other Christian territories (c.) Have mercy on IDPs and enable them return to their homes.
