THANKSGIVING & WORSHIP: Psm 119.21-23 “I will praise thee: for Thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation. The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner. This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our eyes” That Nigeria is not only still intact, but also not at war, running a democracy, and having an election are all massive miracles! If the devil had his way, we be degraded or would not exist. Ah, truly if it had not been the Lord Who has been on our side, we would have been minced meat; Nigeria’s story would have been totally different today; probably history! O, let’s bless the Lord. It’s a new season for Nigeria and Nigerians – including you and I, and our families. Raise a glad sound in faith. Join the heavenly throng in faith to raise a glad sound over Nigeria and the Body of Christ. Praise God for all He has done for you, your family, the Church and Nigeria through 2022….& for greater things He is set to do NOW !
REPENTANCE: Truly repent and ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, your family’s, the Church and Nigeria, and for the contributions of Christians to the woes of believers and of Nigeria by ignoring prophetic warnings. Pray for grace to turn and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14)
FOCUS: Honour over Pharaoh
PRAYER POINTS
- Exo_14:18“And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten me honour upon Pharaoh, upon his chariots, and upon his horsemen.” O Lord, the great, merciful, faithful and able God of Nigeria, get Yourself honour over
- The political party “structures” that think they have Nigeria under their belt
- The ritualists, cultists and occultists who think that with enough human and animal sacrifices, their electoral victory is guaranteed
- The Jihadists who think they must but find a way to impose Sharia on all of Nigeria
- The moneybags who think they can always buy and pocket Nigeria, then use their offices to recover their demonic “investments” plus “profit” and reserve for the next election and a war chest to become king makers
- The businessmen whose stock in trade is to “sponsor” political office holders then spend the next four years reaping and looting the public treasury and warehousing investments and funds for various politicians
- The international Jihadist forces and collaborators who have imagined and plotted a vain thing against the Lord and against His anointed, who have said in their hearts “come let us deal wisely with them” (Exodus 1.10) that the Church in Nigeria may be overrun and subdued as in Turkey, Egypt and Afghanistan
- The powers in the Western who are afraid of Nigeria and scared that Nigeria’s progress may liberate Nigeria and Africa’s 1.2 billion people from being their hewers of wood and drawers of water and are therefore scheming to break Nigeria, forecasting repeatedly that Nigeria shall break up in line with their plots, schemes and evil expectations; who have said “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel [Nigeria] may be no more in remembrance” (Psa_83:4)
- The forces of darkness who have said they shall capture innocent young girls like Leah Sharibu, force them into marriage and not set them free; for with you “Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with thee, and I will save thy children” (Isaiah 49.25)
- Isa 55:13“Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off” Thank You Lord as You completely run Nigeria around and use Nigeria to make an eternal name for Yourself
- Pray other prayers for current national issues as you have observed or are burdened to pray. Pray also for the ongoing political transition process that there be no hijack, and the next leader shall be of God.
- SPECIAL PRAYER: Pro_29:2“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” (a) Lord have mercy on Leah Sharibu and all others abducted and still in the hands of their captors. Please raise political leaders that will set them free. (b) Defend Your children from Jihad in S/Kaduna, Jos and other Christian territories (c.) Have mercy on IDPs and enable them return to their homes.
